I never thought I would actually go to Jerusalem, even though it has been a lifelong dream and desire. I took this from the Mount of Olives. You can see the old walled city in the middle of the photo. The whole foreground is a cemetary. The shiny gold "Dome of the Rock" in the middle of the photo is built on the sacred ground that the Muslims believe is the place where Abraham was going to sacrifice Ishmael, and the Jews believe was the site of Solomon's temple. The city is huge compared to the small part in the middle that we think of as Jerusalem.

The first time I saw one of these toilets I was in severe culture shock. There is NO TISSUE. You fill up the pitcher with water and get clean best you can, and try to leave the area dry. No wonder they don't wear pants.....
I drank camel milk. I grew up on a farm so I know that when the cow eats weeds, the milk tastes gross. This camel was a weed eater!

The only camel I ever knew before I went to Oman was Clyde. This is Sajib. He is very people friendly. He even gave me a kiss:) He loves coke and downed 2 in about 20 seconds. I guess it is a good thing that Islam forbids alcohol!
